Cindi Jackson
Cindi Jackson is a professional editor and writer based in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, whose editorial approach is shaped by her background in law enforcement and criminology studies. Before entering the publishing field, she studied criminology for three years and completed police officer training, an experience she later applied to analyzing crime plots and ensuring technical accuracy in police and procedural narratives. Jackson earned her Professional Editing Certificate from Simon Fraser University and is a member of Editors Canada and the Federation of BC Writers. Her primary focus is on developmental and structural editing, as well as manuscript evaluations, particularly in the mystery, thriller, horror, and memoir genres. She has also served as a judge for Crime Writers of Canada and works with both emerging and established authors, including neurodivergent writers, offering a thoughtful and supportive approach to developing fiction and nonfiction manuscripts.
